Water Spots on Car

Water Spots on Car

Water Spots on your car are a very common problem that bother many people, they are especially dangerous as it is easy to scratch or add swirl marks to your paint when trying to remove them. Because of this I have decided to write up what in my opinion is the best way to remove water spots from your car. Water spots are often mineral buildups that occur after water evaporates of off you car. Most often this is due to not drying properly after washing, especially washing your car and then leaving it in the sun to dry. Another common reason is simply from rain as dirt can be attracted to the water and then left behind. It is important to remove all hard water spots on your car as soon as you can as they can cause damage that is hard to reverse.

Be sure to dry your car with microfibre towels afterwards aswell to prevent more water spots. After this we recommend using meguiars hard water remover to remove the buildup without scratching your or damaging your paint or wax as vinegar can. Simply pour some of the product onto a foam sponge pad like this one and rub the spots until they are removed. After this to ensure a thorough removal of all damaging particles we recommend using a clay bar on the previously affected spots. We have found that This clay kit on Amazon did the best.
